I believe part of creating a great relationship with your designer is knowing a little bit about him or her, so let me introduce myself!
Hi! I'm Danielle Atkisson and I am so happy that you are here.
Let’s start with the professional side: I'm an Indiana University grad with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Human Resources.
I love creating and always have. I started The Silver Lining Design and Shop in 2015. Since then, I’ve designed branding materials, invitations, and fun printables. I’ve also helped small businesses create marketing plans so they can better focus on what they do best! While we are a tiny agency, we are mighty! So it was a great addition when Killey Shuck joined the team! Learn more about her greatness below!

My husband and I got married in 2011. Not only did it rain at our outdoor wedding but it also hailed. If the old wives tale is true, we will be blessed with a lifetime of luck.
We have three awesome sons, they are each two years apart. It’s been such a fun and busy adventure.
I have ran more than twenty half marathons, one full marathon and a tough mudder.

Please indulge me while I brag for a minute…I have an amazing tribe. Our tribe is full of encouragers, listeners, gentle truth tellers, positive vibers and SO much fun.
I am a talk radio and podcast junkie. Anything on NPR, The Office Ladies, Armchair Expert & Smartless are just a few of my favorites.
The Avett Brothers make the world a better place.
I frequently read 3-4 books at a time and may not finish any of them.
I am an always looking for the bright side kind of girl hence the name of my business.
I loveeeeee tests like strengths finders (strategic/positivity/empathy) , enneagram (helper/enthusiast), colors personality profile (I am a blue/orange), Myers Briggs (ENFP). I think it is so fascinating to learn not just about myself but the people in my life too!
10 Random Facts About Killey:
When my husband and I were married in 2006, he surprised me with a Clydesdale 6-horse hitch and carriage to take us and the wedding party from the wedding to the reception. We had the lucky rain too!
We have 2 Miniature Australian Shepherds that we collectively refer to as the girls. They are smart, busy, and love having us to herd around the house. They also shed twice a year for 6 months at a time.
We “event” camp and by camp, I mean, we have a toy hauler with all the amenities. We love to go to festivals, tractor pulls, antique tractor shows, and Shipshewana, Indiana. Realistically, the camper is just a safe, climate-controlled space for the dogs and a place for us to shower and sleep.
I’m frequently saying that I don’t need any more hobbies but I love to learn new things so that never really stops me from trying something new. I get my desire to create things honestly from both of my grandmas and my mom. I love to sew, quilt, make greeting cards, crochet, and knit.
From my grandpa, I get my love of gardening. For the last 10ish years, I’ve put out what my husband lovingly calls a truck patch garden. I’m forever trying to fit in just a little bit more so I have plenty of veggies to can and share with my loved ones. It’s only been in the last year or two that I have started growing flowers.
I love to read. Growing up, my older sister and I would get grounded from books. It was not unusual to find us with our noses in a book instead of doing our chores I still can get lost in a good book and be oblivious to everything going on around me.
I lean to the introverted side and require some alone time to recharge.
I am a podcast girl. I love to learn new things while I’m getting things done like driving, cleaning, gardening, and bookkeeping. I listen to a wide array from science to history to leadership to current news and so much more.
Despite my love for podcasts, I struggle with audiobooks, much to Danielle’s dismay.
I’m a good pack mule. Why safely make three trips, when you can load yourself down and just make one.
